Description
Originally developed by the US Army, this silicone tape provides a reliable solution for sealing leaks in water and/or exhaust systems in case of an emergency on board. Very effective at temperatures from -50°C to +260°C. Silicone tape isolates also up to 8000 volts per unstretched layer. The breaking strength is tested up to 700PSI, and the tape close leaks (6 bar) to effectively 85PSI.
• Resistant to mild acids, fuels, oils, solvents, ozone, UV and flame
• Many applications in case of emergency to get you home safely without undue damage to your ship
• Always apply tape with 50% overlap and at least 100% stretch
