The CT35 Electric Tunnel Thruster – 12V (35 kgf) – Composite Leg is a compact and efficient manoeuvring solution designed to improve docking control for both motorboats and deep-keeled sailing yachts. Manufactured using composite materials and equipped with a single propeller, CT35 delivers up to 35 kgf (77 lbs) of thrust through a 125 mm tunnel, making it one of the most popular entry-level thrusters in the Max Power electric tunnel thruster range.
Ideally suited for boats in the 17’–31’ segment, the CT35 is built for simple installation, long-term reliability, and zero-maintenance operation. Like all Max Power CT series models, it integrates proven engineering features such as patented composite drive legs, hardened spiro-conical gears, line shields, and purpose-built DC motors for dependable everyday performance.

Important Installation Notes
1. Joystick controls: Other joystick options are available for both single and dual thruster installations, in black and grey versions, depending on your preferred helm layout and control configuration.
2. Electric Battery Isolator switches the thruster power ON and OFF from the battery and is controlled directly from the joystick.
3. Additional Ø125 mm tunnel length options are available to order:
42546 — 500 mm, 313804 — 1000 mm, 313809 — 1250 mm, 42548 — 2500 mm.
The correct tunnel length depends on your boat’s hull design and the installation position. We recommend using your own accurate measurements or measurements taken by the professional installers who will fit the thruster.
4. Cable length depends on the boat size and installation layout, so the required length must be selected based on your measurements.
Professional installation is recommended.
Advisory Notes (Max Power)
-
Thrusters are designed to run at 10.75V on 12V units and 22V on 24V units. Higher voltages increase thrust and power consumption, while reducing duty cycle.
-
Performance data is based on installation depth of one tunnel diameter, with tunnel length no longer than 2× diameter, within ±6% variation. Longer tunnels reduce thrust and increase power consumption.
